Tropical Storm Melissa is forecast to become a uncommon category five cyclone as it veers toward the Caribbean island, delivering deadly rapid inundation and rock falls.

This weather system, which had winds of up to 120 mph as of 6:00 AM GMT, is presently veering northwest in the Caribbean region and is anticipated to reach land by midweek, as reported by weather experts.

Advisories of blackouts and disruption to utilities have been announced as Melissa produces up to 76cm of precipitation and storm surges as high as thirteen feet above normal levels. "Find safe refuge immediately," inhabitants have been urged.

This hurricane is the 13th hurricane in the current Atlantic hurricane season, which normally finishes in late autumn.
